Video games are bigger than the film industry today, and it is time that we get some respect. It is interesting to see how a console as the PS3 can make or break a giant company like Sony or how important it is to see Microsoft's Xbox 360 succeed. We even see ads and commercials in our games, a sure sign that we take them seriously. Hey, they would not do if we were not important to them. But this is not what I think. As I started to do is to discuss PC game downloads.
The way I see it, play on the splits in to play on PC and console games. Consoles are proprietary and the games come on CDs, DVDs or Blueray discs. You can also buy PC games on discs and Order online or get them in a store, but I much prefer to download games online. I think most of us have broadband Internet access, so why not download games directly?
Well, there are some potential pitfalls. For example, because my reputation geek and computer guru, everyone seems to call me when your computer has a problem. Usually the problem will be a virus. Worm or Trojan infestation, and it is usually because they download stuff from all sorts of dubious places. So do not be stupid. Stay with a reputable supplier that will not break your system!
Another problem with many online shops video games is that they do not leave you try before you buy. Or if they do, it is so complicated that you give up in frustration. You need to read a manual! and reconfigure the computer just to play a demo.
Finally, with all the gazillion gaming sites and shops, I prefer a single location that has everything. In this way, I know where to go, and I will not have to remember URLs or tens of thousands of logins for all kinds of small lots. Give me a great site that has all the PC games I need. Price is another problem and it will without saying that the more a site is generally better prices.
What matters most to me is that I can try games. And by that I do not just talk about a video or a limited demo or some screenshots. I want to play the entire game. Now, sellers must be paid, courses, and if the compromise is that you will have to download the game by clicking on a button and then play for an hour. That makes sense. If it's a little game, and you fall, you can decide if you want to continue to pay. If it is a fantastic games, an hour gives you enough time to decide if you really want to get into it. Sounds fair to me.
So do not waste time looking for download of all PC games in all the wrong places. The site I use is probably the largest and deepest library of video games out there, and there are hundreds of titles that I can download and try.
