Xbox Arcade Memory Upgrade

i need an opinion on the Xbox 360 arcade version. Does it play most games or will i need to buy memory?
my concern is that i may spend less at first but i'm going to have to upgrade it just to play most games out there. any help would be appreciated.
you're best to get a pro... Arcades are cheaper inside and the welding is also weaker. Pros can be found the same price as the arcade depending where you go.
