Dark Knight Digital Copy for Blue ray work on Xbox 360?
I bought the dark knight on blue ray and it came with a digital copy bonus. i tried to play the dvd on my computer and xbox 360 and it didnt work for both. the xbox said it couldnt read media disk. how do i watch it on one of those.?
i put in the regular dvd NOT the blue ray into the 360 and it didnt work.. the blue ray came with a digital copy which i put into the xbox.
I've been looking in to this myself. If you pop the drive into your PC you'll notice two files, one's over a gig and the other is something like 600 megs.
You can copy them to your desktop without a problem, but when you try to open either of them for the first time you'll be prompted to enter a key. It seems like this key is authenticated through windows media player which will store a file on your PC to "license" the file for use. Without that file the movie will not play.
The rub here is your 360 does not have a way to get licensed. Nor does the Zune, if you try to sync the smaller movie to it.
Now the way I see it, you own the rights to a digital copy of the movie, and you intend on using it for personal viewing. http://sourceforge.net/projects/freeme2 should help out. Of course if you live in America this application is illegal.
